Healthy and tasty turkey baked with pumpkin and apples. Cooking this dish will not take much of your time. Thyme, a blend of Italian herbs and nuts will give the turkey a spicy flavor and aroma. Baked pumpkin, apples, and onions make a great side dish.
We prepare the necessary products. We wash and dry the bird with paper towels. (I had a large, boneless turkey thigh. I cut it into 6 pieces.)
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and you will need parchment paper for baking.
Peel the pumpkin, wash and cut into large bars (5-6 cm).
Peel the onion, wash and chop coarsely.
We wash the apples, remove the seeds. Cut the apples into slices.
Break the nuts into smaller pieces with your hands.
Put pumpkin, onion, apples, and nuts in a deep bowl. Add 0.5 teaspoon of thyme, 1 teaspoon of a mixture of Italian herbs, salt, pepper, and 1 teaspoon of dried garlic. Watering 2 tablespoon. tablespoons of olive oil. Mix thoroughly.
Add 0.5 teaspoon of thyme, 1 teaspoon of a mixture of Italian herbs, 1 teaspoon of dried garlic, salt, and pepper to the turkey meat. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp of olive oil. We mix.
Put the prepared vegetables and fruits in a baking dish covered with parchment paper.
Put the pieces of turkey on top of the vegetables and apples. We send the form with turkey, pumpkin, and apples to an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for 1 hour 10 minutes. (The chicken will cook less.)
30 minutes after the start of baking, take out the baking dish and mix the poultry, pumpkin, apples, and onions. We put in the oven for another 40 minutes.
A beautiful, ruddy turkey is ready.
Turkey meat baked with pumpkin and apples is served hot for lunch or dinner. Decorate the finished dish with fresh basil sprigs.
