I ate the salad for the first time at a Turkish friend`s house, actually reluctantly because it looked quite strange, but luckily I tried it. The salad is very good, don`t let the look put you off. Cut all the vegetables into small cubes. Prepare the millet according to the instructions on the packet, then let it cool down. Fry the onions in the oil until they are lightly translucent. Then add the millet along with the oil, and add the remaining vegetables, diced into small pieces. Dilute the tomato paste with 1-1.5 cups of water and mix in with the chopped parsley. Season to taste with pepper, salt, lemon juice, sambal oelek and paprika. Put the salad in the fridge, let it steep a little and season again before serving.
