Instructions

  1. Clean and chop soup vegetables. Peel and dice the swede. Chop the onion. Peel potatoes.
  2. Lightly sweat the onion with the soup vegetables in a little oil in the saucepan. Add the meat, fill up with a little water and bring to the boil. Then add the turnip and potatoes. If necessary, add water so that everything in the pot is covered with water. Add allspice and bay leaves, pepper and salt. Bring everything back to the boil and cook on a low to medium level for about 1-1.5 h, also seasoning. If necessary, season with a little salt and pepper.
  3. At the end of the cooking time, remove the meat, chop it up and put it back in the soup.
  4. Make a sweat with butter and flour (burn in) and bind the soup with it. Bring to the boil briefly and let it steep for another 10 minutes. Then apply.
  5. Fresh herbs can still be added. Small cut sausages (Viennese or similar) also look good in soup.
