Instructions

  1. Put flour, flakes of butter, orange and rum baking, spices, sugar and egg yolk in a bowl; Knead with the hand mixer (dough hook) to a smooth dough. Press flat and let rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Then roll out the dough 1/2 cm thick between freezer foil, cut out stars 4-5 cm in diameter and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  2. For the topping, mix together the marzipan and egg white, gradually adding the water until the mixture is smooth and sprayable. Pour into a piping bag with a serrated nozzle and sprinkle onto the center of the pastry as a wreath. Put a teaspoon of frutta mix in the center of the wreath.
  3. Place the pastries in the preheated oven, second rack from the bottom, and bake at 200 degrees (electric stove, old) or level 3 (gas stove) for about 15-20 minutes.
  4. Makes about 20 pieces, with us it tends to be a bit more.
  5. Note: I use the orange peel sachets as an orange flavor or you take the appropriate amounts of the liquid baking flavors.
