Instructions

  1. Place the cherries in 4 heat-resistant glasses and pour 2 tablespoon amaretto over each. Let it steep for about 30 minutes.
  2. Cut the vanilla pod lengthways and scrape out the pulp. Let the wine, sugar, vanilla sugar and the scraped pulp simmer gently in a saucepan for about 5 minutes. Pour into the glasses with the cherries and sweeten with maple syrup or honey to taste.
