Instructions

  1. You need a shape that is freezer-safe and has a capacity of at least 1.5 liters. You put these in the freezer compartment to pre-cool while you prepare the ice cream.
  2. Pour the sweetened condensed milk into a large mixing bowl and stir in the pulp of the vanilla pod. Please note that in this recipe step, instead of or in addition to the pulp of the vanilla pod, you can vary to your heart`s content and stir one or two other ingredients into the condensed milk. For example, cookies, chocolate chips, fruit puree or marzipan.
  3. Then whip the cream in another bowl until stiff.
  4. Now stir 3 tablespoons of the whipped cream into the sweetened condensed milk mixture to loosen it up a little. Then the rest of the whipped cream, e.g., with a mixing spoon, fold in. Pour the ice mixture into the pre-chilled form and cool in the freezer for approx. 4 - 5 hours.
  5. Let the ice thaw for about 5 minutes before serving.
