Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes, onions and apples. Remove the core housing. Grate with a fine grater or a food processor with a fine grating disc. Pour off the excess liquid.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the potato mixture evenly with the wheat flour, parsley, pepper and nutmeg. Important! You will salt later on your own plate, otherwise the dough will pull too much liquid before baking!
  3. Bake flat cakes, about 1 cm thick, in a hot pan with plenty of vegetable oil or fat for about 5 minutes per side on a high level, until they are golden brown. Dab the finished potato pancakes on a few layers of kitchen paper and serve.
  4. Apple compote goes well with it.
  5. The specified ingredients are sufficient for about 10 potato pancakes with a diameter of about 10 cm.
