Instructions

  1. Halve the dates and put the defrosted fruits in a blender. Use the defrosting liquid as well. Add the dates until a homogeneous mass is formed. This looks a bit runny at first, but it thickens. If you like it firmer and sweeter, you should reduce the amount of fruit to around 450 g.
  2. Pour the jam into glasses and freeze if necessary. It works fine. This results in about 3 - 4 jam jars.
  3. You can also use any other fruit, such as B. Use raspberries. If you do without the fruit, you get date butter, whereby you should add a little water for this.
  4. Today, for example, I added 2 - 3 tablespoons of carob powder and a cup of water to the dates, which of course also works with cocoa powder. So you get a kind of vegan chocolate cream.
