Instructions

  1. Cut the garlic into very fine slices. Wash the vegetables, cut the carrots into slices and the onions into strips.
  2. Mix the water with the soy sauce and the oyster sauce in a bowl. Add the garlic and chilli flakes. Stir in the cornstarch.
  3. Briefly fry the meat and onions in hot oil in a pan or wok. Add the sauce and bring to the boil. Add the vegetables and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. This fits e.g., Basmati rice or Asian noodles.
  5. Of course you can vary with all sorts of vegetables. For example, sugar snap peas, cauliflower, broccoli, soybeans, etc. And of course you can swap the meat for pork or beef or simply leave it out. Have fun varying. According to my Thai woman, this dish is eaten very spicy in Thailand.
