Briefly bring the green spelled grist to the boil in the broth and let it swell on the lowest setting, possibly turning it off in the meantime.
Work the remaining ingredients into the slightly cooled mass. If the mixture is still too soft, fold in the breadcrumbs. Let everything go through for about a quarter of an hour.
Heat the oil and shape into rolls with damp hands and fry all over over medium heat. I always work straight from the hand into the pan.
