Instructions

  1. Cooking and baking time is approx. 1 hour, the rest time is approx. 1.5 hours.
  2. Mix the dried yeast, butter, egg, sugar, salt and flour in a bowl. Add the water (depending on the need a little more or less than 170 ml) and knead everything into a dough. Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  3. After the hour, take the dough and knead well, divide into 4 equal parts and form round balls. Cover and let the balls rise for another 30 minutes on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  4. Brush the dough balls with water and sprinkle with sesame seeds, then place in the oven and bake at approx. 170 ° C for 12 - 17 minutes until they slowly turn brown on top. The rolls are (for me at least) quite large, so they also form large meatballs!
  5. Prepare the meatballs and guacamole between walking times.
  6. For the guacamole, mix the contents of the avocado with the lime juice. Cut the tomato into small cubes and add. Then mix everything together and season with herb salt and pepper.
  7. Meatballs:
  8. Prepare the quinoa according to the instructions on the packet. Wash and chop the parsley. Grind the carrot and cut the onion into small cubes and then mix both well with parsley, quinoa, spices, sunflower seeds, spelled flour and eggs in a bowl (the amount of spices is rather mild, if you like to eat very spicy, you should have a little more of everything to take).
  9. Now shape the mixture into meatballs on a large board and carefully place in the pan (s) with a large spatula. Fry all meatballs over a relatively low heat on both sides until they slowly turn brown.
  10. Now prepare the cucumber, tomato and lettuce as you would like them to be on the burger afterwards. The guacamole serves as a ketchup substitute.
  11. If you are against spelled flour, you can also use wheat flour instead.
