Bring 0.5 l milk to the boil, add the vermicelli and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring as you go. Mix the vanilla pudding powder with the rest of the cold milk and add the egg yolks. Add this mixture to the pasta milk and bring to the boil again. Now stir in the vanilla sugar and the sugar. Finally fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites and eat warm if possible.
Very tasty with strawberries and applesauce, but also a sweet treat on its own.
