Ideally, pre-cool the martini glass (refrigerator or briefly in the freezer). Whisk the ingredients over ice in a mixing glass. Do not try to crush the ice cubes, otherwise the risk of watering down is great. Strain the liquid into the pre-cooled glass with a strainer (sieve). Spray a piece of lemon zest over it and garnish with a skewered olive. In this classic, which Bond unfortunately drinks shaken, the only thing that matters is the ingredients. If you want to save on vodka or vermouth, you will probably not be a fan of this classic, as it will not taste good. My recommendation: Finlandia Vodka (first choice), Stolichnaya (if you get that you can count yourself lucky), Absolut is also okay and only Noilly Prat as vermouth comes into question for me. The vodka martini is a variant of the martini cocktail and also serves as an aperitif.
