Waffles in a waffle iron are a great treat, including for breakfast, because you can serve Viennese waffles on the table not only as a separate dish, but also adding honey, fruit jam to them …
We need a waffle iron to make waffles. It should be warmed up. If you are using a waffle iron for gas cooking, then you should not heat it up too much. The dough browns very quickly, so an overheated waffle iron will burn the waffles very quickly. To make the dough, we need to take flour. Sift it into a bowl. Add kefir, eggs, baking powder, salt, sugar and flavor.
Knead the ingredients into a homogeneous dough. The dough will be quite runny, close to a pancake dough.
Melt the butter. Pour it in a thin stream into the dough, mix everything well.
Grease the heated waffle iron with vegetable oil (use a cooking brush). Place 1 tablespoon of dough in the middle of the waffle iron. Close the waffle iron and hold lightly. The dough will fill all the grooves of the waffle iron by itself. Hold the waffle inside the waffle iron until browning. Carefully detach the wafer and shape it. While the waffle is hot, it bends, but as it cools, it hardens very quickly. After cooling completely, the wafer will become soft again.
I specifically give the waffles this look. My family loves filling waffles with all sorts of goodies on their own. The fillings can be different: a scoop of ice cream, jam, melted chocolate, nuts, fresh fruit with cream, and whatever your heart desires.
I will not insist on a specific filling, so I will show you the waffles in their original form, without additives.
