Homemade crispy waffles with a delicate aroma and halva taste will appeal not only to children, but also to adults. They are perfect for your morning coffee or as a dessert for a holiday. It’s delicious, believe me!
To prepare the wafer dough, we need butter at room temperature, so we need to get it out of the refrigerator in advance. Beat the butter and sugar with a mixer.
Add eggs and cream alternately to the butter, while not stopping whipping.
Pour halva into the resulting mass, mix everything. I had a piece of halva, and I grated it.
Then add the sifted flour and baking powder. Beat the resulting dough again with a mixer.
We heated the electric waffle iron, now we put 2 full and a little more tablespoons of dough in the center. Bake until golden brown, or a little more if you like fried waffles. It took me 3 minutes for them to bake well.
Cool the finished waffles on a wire rack and lay out one at a time, do not put the waffles on top of each other – then they will be crispy.
When the waffles are cool, you can put them on a plate. Serve waffles with tea or coffee, sprinkle with icing sugar or pour over honey. They can also be served with ice cream balls.
