Instructions

  1. Peel the asparagus and cut the stalks into thirds. Fry all over in a pan in olive oil for about 10 minutes. Add salt, sugar, pepper berries and butter, deglaze with water. Take enough water to cover the ground well. Cover and let simmer for about 20-25 minutes, turning every now and then. In the last few minutes, let the water boil down a little without the lid. Take the pan off the heat and add the balsamic vinegar.
  2. Serve the asparagus with ham and bread, add a few pepper berries on top.
  3. If there is still a lot of brew in the pan after steaming, you can remove the asparagus and drizzle with balsamic vinegar.
  4. The asparagus is still quite crunchy, if you don`t like it, just let it steam longer.
