Instructions

  1. Peel the onion and garlic. Finely dice the onion, press down the garlic cloves a little and sweat both in the olive oil. Roughly chop the peeled tomatoes and add them with the juice.
  2. Bring the salsa to the boil, turn the stove down and simmer on a medium flame for about 10 minutes.
  3. In the meantime, wash the basil, shake it dry and finely chop the leaves. When the salsa has boiled down, mix in the basil, season well with sugar, salt and pepper and season to taste.
