The bread, I used about 3/4 toast, dice and soak in milk for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Stir in the sugar, melted butter, dried fruits, eggs and spices, then pour the mixture into a small baking dish measuring 24 x 15 cm. Bake in the oven at 180 ° C hot air, top / bottom heat 200 ° C for approx. 60 - 75 minutes.
The bread wasn`t soaked for 4 hours, but still tasted great. You can do it however you want. Traditionally, it was a recipe to use up old leftovers from cookies, bread, etc.
