Cut half a white cabbage into thin, bite-sized strips and set aside.
Fry the minced meat in a large saucepan, season with plenty of salt and pepper. Add tomato paste and press the peeled garlic through the press, mix in. Add the chopped white cabbage to the minced meat in the pan and fry briefly. Deglaze with the beef stock. I always add a strong pinch of caraway seeds. That doesn`t have to be the case, but it counteracts the well-known side effects of cabbage! Let simmer until the cabbage is soft or has the desired consistency. This takes about 40 minutes.
At the end I still add a lot of tomato ketchup, which gives it a sweet taste. If and how much ketchup is added, everyone should decide for themselves according to their taste. Now, if necessary, add salt and pepper to taste.
I usually squeeze a few more potatoes in there. But you can also eat it just like that with a baguette. Everyone as he likes.
