Instructions

  1. For the dough, stir together the butter and eggs until frothy. Then add the aroma and the vanilla sugar. Sieve the flour and baking powder and stir in and add enough apple juice that the dough falls from the spoon with difficulty. Peel, core and dice an apple and fold into the batter.
  2. Put the dough in a greased springform pan (diameter 26 cm) and smooth it out. Peel, core, quarter and score the remaining apples several times, then lay them in a wreath on the dough.
  3. Bake the cake at 175 - 200 ° C for 40 - 50 minutes. Dust the cooled cake with icing sugar.
  4. I always bake this cake without sugar because the apple juice has enough sweetness for my taste. The cake is very subtle in taste. If you prefer your cake sweet, you should add 125 g of sugar to the butter and eggs.
