Instructions

  1. Mix the flour with the yeast and salt. Add water, oil and honey and knead well. If you want to bake the bread vegan, you can use agave syrup instead of honey.
  2. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes. Knead again and let rise for another 10 minutes. Meanwhile, grease a baking pan with a lid well. Place the dough in the baking pan and close the lid.
  3. Let rise for approx. 1 hour at a warm temperature (35 - 40 ° C is optimal). Preheat to 220 ° C for the last 15-20 minutes (depending on the oven). Place the baking pan in the oven and bake the bread for about 45 minutes.
  4. Take the pan out of the oven and turn the bread out onto a rack to cool. The knock test does not work on this bread because of the soft crust.
  5. If you don`t have a baking pan with a lid, you can cover the pan with aluminum foil, but that doesn`t work that well.
