Cook the whole wheat pasta in salted water according to the instructions on the packet. In the meantime, cut the zucchini in half and thinly slice the tomatoes into small pieces.
Dice the onion and place in a pan with hot olive oil, after a short time add the zucchini and fry until brown. In the meantime, cut the mozzarella into approx. 1 cm thick cubes, then add the tomato pieces and fry them briefly.
Deglaze everything with the tomatoes, add the mozzarella cubes and simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, stir vigorously and fold in the whole wheat pasta. Serve with a few torn basil leaves.
