Instructions

  1. Put the wheat flour, whole spelled flour, salt and baking powder in a mixing bowl and mix together. Put the yeast and sugar in another container, not too hot, and stir until everything is dissolved.
  2. Add the yeast water and oil to the flour and knead with a hand mixer with dough hook until a smooth dough is formed. Add tablespoonful of wheat flour if the dough is too sticky, or water if it is too dry.
  3. Divide the dough into eight small pieces. Shape each part into a ball by hand and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Let the dough rise in a warm place for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Slide a deep baking sheet into the bottom rail of the oven and cover with approx. One liter of water. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C fan-assisted air.
  5. Slightly cut the rolls with a sharp knife and brush with water. If you want the rolls to shine, whisk an egg yolk with a little milk and brush the rolls with it instead of water. Bake the rolls in the oven for 15-20 minutes. They`re done when they look nice golden brown and sound hollow when you tap the bottom.
