First pour the diced wild boar over the red wine and let it steep during the rest of the preparations. Peel and roughly quarter the onions. Dice the bacon and leave it out.
Take the wild boar out of the red wine and sear it all over. Add plenty of salt and pepper and season with a little rosemary. Then add the onions. Pour Maggi over it and pour the red wine and water over it so that everything is covered. Bring to the boil and then simmer on medium heat for approx. 1.5 hours in a closed saucepan, stirring occasionally. Finally - depending on the desired consistency - add some canned milk and thicken with a sauce thickener.
Noodles or classic boiled potatoes and red cabbage also go well with it.
