Put the tea, orange juice, orange and lemon wedges, mulled wine spices in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Let it steep for about 20-30 minutes and then strain the punch. Now stir in the wine and amaretto, heat again.
Place the whisked egg whites and sugar in separate bowls. Dip the rim of the glasses in egg white first, then in sugar.
Now pour the punch into the glasses and serve garnished with Cape gooseberries.
