Instructions

  1. Soak the raisins with a little orange juice - I always do this in the salad bowl, where everything is gradually added.
  2. Clean the carrots and grate finely. Clean and chop the Chinese cabbage. Clean the apple (the peel can be left on) and cut into pencils or similar - mix with lemon juice so that it does not turn brown.
  3. Mix everything well with the oil and soaked raisins. If the salad is too sour, add a little honey or sugar to taste. The salad tastes best if it is pulled through (at least 30 minutes?).
  4. This salad can be modified very well. B. 1-2 fresh mandarins, canned mandarins, a handful of fresh grapes, 1 fresh orange or the like can be added. The proportions of the basics are also not so important: 1/2 Chinese cabbage or / and only 1 or 3 carrots or / and 2 apples or whatever can be used - depending on the supply and appetite. If you like, sprinkle a few chopped walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds or the like on top. And if you don`t like raisins, you can leave them out or replace them e.g., with chopped, dried figs.
  5. We like this salad for our first breakfast at home, with a cheese sandwich or the like as a sandwich at school or in the office, as a side dish for lunch or dinner (e.g. with sandwiches or with Königsberg buns with rice) or simply as a snack , maybe with a biscuit or biscuit. For example, you can also prepare a large bowl in the evening - and take the rest to the office or something the next day (tightly packed!).
