Preheat the waffle iron and in the meantime mix the flour, rice krispies, corn starch, salt, baking powder and baking soda in a bowl. In a small bowl, whisk the egg yolks, oil, milk and vanilla together.
Beat the egg whites with a mixer until stiff. Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until you have an even, lump-free mass. Now fold in the egg white - a few scraps of egg white should remain visible - do not overmix!
Pour 2/3 cup of the batter into the waffle iron and spread a spoon with the back on the iron but stop a few centimeters from the edge so that the batter can spread out. Bake for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
