Ingredients
Processed cheese – 8 plates
Flour – 300 g
Milk – 200 ml (+ 2 tablespoons)
Dry yeast – 5 g (1 teaspoon)
Sugar – 1 teaspoon
Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp (+ for greasing the baking sheet)
Add sugar and yeast to warm milk, stir and leave for 5 minutes to let the yeast come to life.
Add vegetable oil and salt to milk with yeast, mix until the salt dissolves.
Sift flour and add to milk mixture.
Knead to a soft and non-sticky dough.
Cover the dish with the dough with a towel or cling film and put it in a warm place for 30-40 minutes to rise.
Remove the dough from the bowl and divide into 8 equal pieces. Roll them into balls. The number of balls depends on the number of cheese slices in your package. Usually there are from 8 to 10 pieces.
Sprinkle a little flour on the table and roll the dough ball into a rectangle. Place the cheese on one end of the dough. Cut the remaining edge into strips without cutting to the end. This is best done with a pizza cutter.
Tuck the edges, starting at the cheese side.
Roll up and pinch the edge. Do this with the whole dough.
Grease a baking sheet with oil and place the rolls there seam down at a distance from each other. Cover with a towel or cling film and leave in a warm place for 15-20 minutes to proof.
Turn the oven to preheat to 180 degrees. Add 2 tablespoon to the yolk. tablespoons of milk and stir.
Brush the yolk mixture on top of the melted cheese buns.
Bake the buns in a hot oven for 25 minutes. Remove the buns from the oven and cover with a towel for 5 minutes.
