Instructions

  1. Sift the flour into a bowl and sprinkle the yeast on top. Add the melted butter with the warm milk, as well as eggs, sugar and salt and then knead everything. Knead by hand until the dough loosens easily from the hand and the bowl. It mustn`t be too damp. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for 60 minutes.
  2. Then shape the dough into balls the size of a tennis ball and let them rise for another 30 minutes in the warm without drafts. I had taken out the insert and the plastic top of the steamer and put 6 dumplings in each to go.
  3. I use a WMF Vitalis steamer. Pour approx. 0.5 l of water into the bottom of the Vitalis, heat it and put the lid on. When the thermo shows 90 ° C, place the insert in the bottom, place the top on it and cover it. After about 15 minutes, loose dumplings are ready.
  4. Serve with compote to taste, applesauce, vanilla sauce or canned apricots.
