Cut the beef into strips. Cut the onion and fry it with the meat in the fat. Add the 2 cups of rice, 5 cups of water and the soup cube. Cook the whole thing over a low heat for 10 minutes.
Cut the 3 tomatoes and the bell pepper into cubes (if you want, you can blanch the tomatoes beforehand). Add the vegetables to the rice and cook for another 5 - 10 minutes.
I add a little tomato puree to this recipe because it gives the rice a nice red color. Finally, season with paprika powder and salt. If desired, add a little more chili powder.
