Cut the Emmenthaler into narrow rectangles, halve the Lyoner lengthways and then cut into fine slices. The Emmenthaler rectangles should be based on the size of the Lyoner slices.
Cut the onion into fine rings (you can also use shallots).
Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
Mix the mayonnaise, sour cream and spices into a sauce and add to the salad. Mix everything well.
The salad should be covered in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
