- For 6 glasses of 350 - 370 ml each.
- Stone the plums, sprinkle with the sugar and let stand for 2 - 3 hours.
- Bring the plums to the boil with the water and cook for 5 minutes. Add the amaretto and lemon juice, bring to the boil again.
- Pour the plums into prepared glasses while piping hot. Either use mason jars with elastic and clamps or jars with twist-off lids.
- Due to the sugar content (the liqueur brings more sweetness with it), these plums keep for at least 1 year even without being boiled in a water bath.
- Amaretto plums go well with ice cream, pudding, panna cotta or just like that.
