Instructions

  1. Melt the butter with the chocolate over a water bath. I cut them into small pieces beforehand so that the melting process goes faster.
  2. Then stir the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt for about 5 minutes until frothy. Add the melted chocolate mass and flour and stir in on a low speed.
  3. Pour the brownie batter into a deep baking sheet and spread it smoothly. I like to use my angular baking frame to get nicer edges.
  4. Put the cashew nuts in a freezer bag and use a rolling pin to break them into smaller pieces. Of course, you can also chop them up very briefly in a blender. Then sprinkle the nuts evenly on the brownie mixture.
  5. Place the dough in the preheated oven at 165 ° C top and bottom heat. The American Chocolate Brownies take about 25 minutes in the oven. A little dough may stick to the stick test to check the baking progress. Because then they are still nice and juicy and not too dry.
  6. They are easier to cut when cooled. However, the brownies also taste delicious fresh out of the oven. I prefer to cut them into small rectangles or squares of about 5 x 5 cm.
