Peel, core and roughly dice the apples. Make a dough that is not too firm from the flour, egg, melted butter, baking powder, apples and milk. Then cut dumplings out of the dough with 2 wet tablespoons and place in boiling salted water and let stand for 15 minutes, do not boil!
Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon, pour brown butter over them and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
