Instructions

  1. Roughly crumble the amaretti biscuits by hand, setting aside a few whole pieces for decoration.
  2. Whip the cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. In a serving bowl, layer: 3/4 of the crumbled amaretti, 4 tablespoons of egg liqueur drizzled over, 3/4 of the whipped cream, and all of the applesauce.
  4. Top with the remaining whipped cream, remaining crumbled amaretti, reserved whole amaretti pieces, and the remaining egg liqueur.
  5. For better presentation, especially in a glass bowl, create multiple thin layers by alternating crumbs, liqueur, cream, and applesauce.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
