Asian Style Meatballs Instructions

  1. Chop roughly half of the 2 cm ginger piece and half of the red hot pepper with a knife.
  2. In a bowl, combine the chopped ginger and chopped hot pepper with 1 tbsp honey, 3 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp vegetable oil, and 1 tbsp boiled water. Set the sauce aside.
  3. In a blender, grind the remaining ginger and red hot pepper along with the bunch of green onions, 2 garlic cloves, and 3 tbsp soy sauce.
  4. Add the blended mixture to the 500 g minced pork and mix well until combined.
  5. Roll the mixture into 24 meatballs.
  6. Heat 3 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot, about 1-2 minutes.
  7. Fry the meatballs for 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through (internal temperature should reach 63 °C / 145 °F).
  8. Pour the reserved sauce over the cooked meatballs before serving.
