Instructions

  1. Mix the soft butter with the pressed garlic cloves, season with salt and pepper. Possibly add a few herbs depending on your taste.
  2. Wash the potatoes and cut them in half so that the surface area is as large as possible. Cut the potato halves about half a centimeter deep with a sharp knife (to distribute the flavor) and brush with the mixed garlic paste. It is enough to brush one of the halves as the potatoes are now folded up again. Wrap the garlic potatoes in aluminum foil and place on a baking sheet.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 30 minutes.
  4. The time varies greatly depending on the type of potato, the size of the potato and how often you wrap it in aluminum foil. It is therefore advisable to lightly pre-cook the potatoes (in a pot or steamer) if you have little time. If you prepare them for a barbecue evening, you can also cook them completely in the oven and reheat them later when grilling.
