Wash the pumpkin well, cut off the stem at the top and bottom, and then quarter. Remove the cores from the individual quarters and carve a grid pattern into them. It can be scratched as deep as possible, but preferably not through the outer shell.
Heat the butter and honey in a small saucepan until they are liquid. You can do this in a mug in the microwave. Add salt and cinnamon and stir well. If you like, you can now put the leaves of lemon balm or mint in it for a few minutes.
Place the pumpkins in a baking dish with the inside with the grid facing up. Brush the quarters with the liquid and simply pour the rest over it. Small puddles can form on the pumpkin.
