Instructions

  1. Put the sugar, the butter in pieces and the water in a saucepan. Heat the whole thing slowly (on a low flame) until it boils. Now you take the pot off the fire.
  2. Now add the flour and baking powder and mix everything with a wooden spoon until a ball of dough forms.
  3. Now you can carefully distribute the still warm dough with your hands in a 28 mm tart pan (works without buttering the pan). Prick the dough several times with a fork. Bake in the oven at 200 ° C for about 20 minutes.
  4. Then you can top the dough with ingredients of your choice (e.g. apple wedges) and pour over it. Then bake again for about 20 minutes at 200 ° C or until the topping is done.
  5. For a salty dough, leave out the sugar and add a pinch of salt instead.
