Why mustard? Because it gives a special piquancy to the meat and reveals its true taste. It is with mustard that beef turns out to be tender and incredibly fragrant.
So, decided to cook beef stroganoff with mustard at home? It’s easy! We prepare food and start with the most important thing – cooking meat.
Marinate the meat in mustard, add salt and seasonings. Let stand for about 20 minutes, after which we send it to the pan to fry.
While our beef is being fried in another pan, fry the flour. As soon as it turns golden, add the cream and simmer for about 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
The mass turns out like this. At the end of frying, send a tablespoon of butter and simmer for another 2 minutes.
When our meat is slightly fried, add finely chopped onion to it and stir constantly. After the formation of a light golden color, pour our meat with a separately prepared sauce.
You can add a glass of water. Simmer the meat for about half an hour with the lid closed and over very low heat.
Usually, while the meat is stewing, I boil pasta or cook mashed potatoes as a side dish to beef stroganoff. You can prepare a side dish at your discretion and taste.
