First, the vanilla pod is cut lengthways and the blunt side scraped out the pulp with a small knife. The vanilla pulp and the pod are then placed in a small saucepan together with the berries, sugar and water and heated. Everything should simmer over low heat for 8-10 minutes.
Then the mass is poured through a fine sieve to get rid of the small seeds and the vanilla pod. Then the syrup is ready and needs to cool completely.
When the time comes, add some syrup, ice cubes and ice-cold sparkling mineral water to a glass and the lemonade is ready.
If you like, you can decorate the lemonade with fresh berries and serve with a straw.
Tip: If you want to make a drink with alcohol out of it, bourbon or white rum go very well with it.
