Leave the bacon in a pan, add the onion and sauté. Allow to cool slightly.
Mix the flour with salt in a bowl. Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk and add to the flour with the water. Knead everything into a smooth dough. Knead in the bacon and onion.
Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and form rolls with floured hands. Place them next to each other like a sun. Let rise for another 30 minutes. Brush with milk and alternately sprinkle with sesame and caraway seeds.
Bake in a preheated oven (fan oven 160 degrees, electric 180 degrees) for 30 minutes.
You can of course shape a large sun. But I think smaller ones are nicer. 1 roll in the middle, 5 rolls around it.
Can also be frozen very well, so that I always have some on hand. They look good at a party buffet, but also taste good with herbal quark with a glass of wine.
