  1. Stew the garlic and onions in the butter. Puree the tomatoes. Put the beans in a deep pan and cover with the tomatoes and the liquid. Bring everything to the boil and simmer for about 30 minutes; Make sure that there is always enough liquid available. Finally season with salt and pepper. It can be eaten alone or with a piece of grilled meat.
