Instructions

  1. Peel and roughly grate the carrots and celery.
  2. Heat the butter in a large saucepan and add the carrots and celery. Fill up with approx. 200 ml of water, add the sugar and a little salt and stir. Cover and cook over low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring once or twice. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. If you don`t like it as sweet as we northern lights do, you should use less sugar. Also depends on the sweetness of the carrots.
  4. The vegetables go well with meatballs, sausages, fish and fried eggs.
