Charlotte with Cinnamon and Apples Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
  2. In a bowl, beat the 3 eggs with the 1 glass of granulated sugar for 1-2 minutes until pale and thick.
  3. Add the 1 glass of flour and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, then stir for about 1 minute until just combined.
  4. Wash and peel the 5 apples. Cut them in half, remove the seeds, and slice them thinly.
  5. Brush the bottom of a baking dish with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon to taste.
  6. Layer the apple slices in the dish and sprinkle with more cinnamon to taste.
  7. Pour the batter over the apples and tap the baking dish gently on the counter a few times to settle the ingredients.
  8. Bake for 40-60 minutes until the top is golden brown.
  9. Let the cake cool before serving. Cut into slices and drizzle with butter if desired.
