  1. Preheat the oven to 220 ° C (top / bottom heat). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the french fries on top and put them in the oven for about 25 minutes.
  2. In the meantime, peel the onions and cut into thin slices. Heat a pan and fry the bacon on both sides until crispy brown. Remove and drain on kitchen paper. When the bacon slices are cold, crumble them.
  3. Put some oil in the pan and fry the onion rings well. Sprinkle a pinch of sugar on top and let it caramelize. Also remove from the pan and drain on kitchen paper.
  4. When the french fries are ready, place them in a large or two small casserole dishes and cover with the processed cheese in dots. Roughly tear up the mountain cheese and sprinkle over it.
  5. Bake the french fries on the middle rack for another 10-15 minutes. Garnish with the bacon crumble and the caramelized onion rings and finally sprinkle with a little pepper.
