Instructions

  1. Coarsely grate 100 g of marzipan. Drain the cherries well. Mix the soft butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, bitter almond flavor and salt until foamy. Add the marzipan and stir well. Stir in eggs one at a time. Mix the flour and baking powder and stir in briefly. Fold the cherries into the batter.
  2. Spread the dough in a well-greased, flour-dusted muffin tray with 12 cavities.
  3. Cut 100 g marzipan into small cubes and sprinkle on the dough. Bake in the preheated oven for approx. 25 minutes at 155 ° C (convection, preheated). Let cool down well.
  4. Remove the muffins from the mold and sprinkle with powdered sugar and chopped pistachios.
