Instructions

  1. Cut the chestnuts crosswise with a sharp knife and cook in salted water for 20 minutes. Then quench in cold water and peel immediately.
  2. Then braise the chestnuts in butter for 10 minutes, add 1/4 l of meat stock and 0.1 l of cream mixed with a teaspoon of flour and cook gently for 10 minutes, then season with salt and pepper.
  3. Tastes very good with game or duck.
