Instructions

  1. Melt sugar, butter and water over medium heat, stirring constantly. Add the chocolate, melt it and then take it off the stove and let it cool down for 10 minutes.
  2. Put the chocolate mixture in a mixing bowl and mix in the egg. Then add flour, baking powder and salt. Cover and put in the fridge for 1 hour.
  3. Preheat the oven to 175 ° C, grease the baking sheet (I personally prefer to use baking paper). Shape the dough into walnut-sized balls and distribute them on the baking tray about 4 cm apart and bake for about 8-10 minutes. Attention: The baking time varies depending on the oven. It is completely normal for balls to melt into cookies!
  4. After baking, let it cool down for 1 minute and press 1/2 After Eight per cookie on top. As soon as the after eight has melted, whisk with a toothpick (so that nobody sees the nice after eight pattern).
