First break the cinnamon sticks into small pieces and put them in a mortar with the cardamom or in the food processor for a moment. But don`t chop them too finely, the spices should stay woody so that you can filter them through the sieve later!
Now you put the water in a saucepan and put the spices in there. When the water starts to boil, add the cold milk. Stir a little and then pour in the black tea.
Now the milk tea changes color from milk brown to caramel brown. Take the pot off the hob and let everything sit for another 2 - 3 minutes before you strain the tea through a fine sieve into a jug. Finally, sweeten with honey and enjoy.
